Karl Joachim Brende

I am an DPhil Student in Economic History at University of Oxford (Oxford Centre for Economic and Social History) and Visiting Research Fellow at BI Norwegian Business School. My supervisors are Prof. Catherine R Schenk and Prof. Martin Ellison.

My Research is at the intersection of economic growth, financial history, and legal history. I look at Scandinavian history through informal credit, bills of exchange, and non-intermediated financial markets.
